Symptoms of Chronic Nonbacterial Prostatitis AND Causes of chronic nonbacterial prostatitis

Chronic Nonbacterial Prostatitis is also known as chronic prostatitis, which is a health condition that inflammation of prostate without bacterial infection. It is also called chronic pelvic pain syndrome. It presents symptoms ofprostatitis with negative result after urine culture and other test. It do not have any evidence of a bacterial infection, but men have the symptoms of prostate infection. 
 
The symptoms (including chills, fever, pain in the lower back and genital area, body aches, burning or painful urination, and the frequent and urgent need to urinate) characteristically go away and then come back without warning. The urine and fluid from the prostate show no evidence of a known infecting organism, but the semen and other fluids from the prostate contain cells that the body usually produces to fight infection. Its symptoms are the most common urologic problem in men younger than 50 years and the third most common urologic problem in older men. 
 
In  western medicine system, the causes of chronic prostatitis are nerves, stress and hormones. The goal in nonbacterial prostatitis treatment is to control the symptoms. Treatment with antibiotics and drugs that relax the muscles of the prostate gland is often tried and commonly fails. 
 
In the system of TCM, the causes are obstruction of heat and dampness, obstruction of blood and Qi. To understand western conception in a tcm way, the causes can be considered as: obstructive Qi channels (caused by nerves), imbalanced endocrine(hormones; can be caused by stress). Obstructive Qi channels and imbalanced endocrine lead to obstruction of heat and dampness, obstruction of blood and Qi, then cause disorders.
